i am using this for home use bec. i would like to work with simple Postgresql type data base.
i have used Pgadmin III to create four tables but only two of them are linked at this point. i am very happy bec. it was fairly easy to connect to my postgres database with your tool.
However, using the wizard, i can select the tables but in the next screen, where it puts the tables on a screen or window, none of the tables shows a list of its fields and so i cannot indicate which fields should be linked. Any ideas as to what's up?
Have a great day! |

This problem is caused by Postgress<->Simple Query connection component.
Could you describe more in detail what version of Simple Query and what connection component you use? _________________ With the best regards, Sergiy Korzh. |

Well, Sergi i don't seem to have the program anymore. It was the Simple Query 1.1 and i wanted it bec. i don't have any programming experience. What i seem to have downloaded in the meantime is the Simple Query 4.34 and some other file called Korzh Query Builder.
When i install either one i just get a number of directories and sub-directories. None of them contain any .exe files so i'm back to square one.
Thanks for your offer to help and have a great evening!
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
i take it back. i found the program on your website again and downloaded it and when i accepted the default Read ReadMe and Run Program, it runs the program. Good.
Now, DataModel, New, Ado v1.0, Use Connection String = Build, Provider = PostgreSQL OLE db Provider.
Connection Tab, Data Source: localhost, Location: Nothing, User Name: postgres, Password: xxxx
Click on TestConnection. Result: Test Connection Succeeded. OK, OK.
Welcome to Data Model Wizard, Next, It brings up two tables of the four. i select them and Next.
Again, in this window, i see the two tables but no fields. Is this enough info? How do i run the program, short of "installing" it every time? _________________ "The earth is one country and mankind its citizens." "La tierra es un solo país y la humanidad sus ciudadanos." Bahá´u´lláh |

Hi,
It seems that ADO drivers do not provide necessary information for Postgresql databases.
We will try to investigate this problem and find the solution. _________________ With the best regards, Sergiy Korzh. |
